Pictures of our beach trip

ISN'T SHE BEAUTIFUL??!!!

A few members of Children's Church on a trip to Huntsville Botanical Gardens to see the "BUG" exhibits. The "Bug" theme was part of the children's lessons during the summer weeks. They had a blast with it, lots of fun and interesting too.

Primary Mini Camp

This was Kalyn's first year to go to youth camp. I tried to get her to go last year but she did not want to go at all. This year was a different story. She was excited and looked forward to it for weeks. It was amazing to see the difference in her attitude. God is truly blessing us with a wonderful daughter. I am so glad that she had a great time. She had a hard time at bedtime for a couple of nights. I told her she would never have to go without me again. I felt terrible about that, but I know that her counselor, Ms. Christie did an awesome job with 8 girls in her cabin by herself. We were blessed to have her. These pictures were taken on Monday, the day I dropped Kalyn off, the first day of camp.

Red Sox vs Braves game

My family went to Atlanta to see the Red Sox and Braves play baseball. We are all Red Sox fans except my dad and mom. We had a great time! It was our first MLB game ever so we were excited. Here are some pics.

Father's Day 2009

Steven is the greatest dad in the world. Kalyn loves him dearly. Here she is, leading him with his eyes closed to his surprise gift in the living room. Kalyn picked it out all by herself. She wanted him to have a fire pit so they could roast hot dogs together. Such a sweet heart!

Fishing with Poppaw

One of our favorite past times is fishing with my dad. Kalyn and I love it. We really like to go out on the boat. A few days before these pictures were made, we went fishing from the boat and Kalyn caught the biggest fish. Of course, it never occurred to me to snap pictures. So here we are, a few days later, fishing from the bank at Jackson County Park. Kalyn was the only one who caught a fish! Even though we like to fish, we are still girly girls at heart. Daddy has to bait our hooks and take off the fish. Kalyn has just this year gotten brave enough to hand Dad the crickets out of the container.
